Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. Mostly this is a record of my journey- through what exactly
I do not know yet, so for now we will just say: Life- and all that comes with it.

Sovereign God

This past weekend my church had its annual family camp. A weekend of fellowship, gospel, and fun. It did a lot to help me remember the sovereignty of God from the littlest of things,  like the morning dew on a blade of grass,
to the biggest of things like Jesus' death on the cross and reminding us daily of that importance.

It also helped to remind me that though these photos and the things in them are beautiful, God is infinitely more beautiful. How I cannot wait to see His beauty in all it's splendor.

"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness." 2 Peter 1:3

Psalm 139

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar...
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O Lord.

You hem me in - behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me...

Where can I go from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, "Surely the darkness wil hide me
and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you...

I praise you because I am fearfully
and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well...

 All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be...

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139 is so encouraging, so rich. To write these words on my heart and make them a part of my life song could only bring joy. To remember what wonderful blessings are given to us. God - the creator of the universe, the almighty and sovereign Lord of all things - knows me a small, sinning human, one of billions. He knows me, and loves me, I cannot hide from His presence. That is remarkable. He is always with me.
